SoFi Stadium
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, is the most expensive stadium ever built at $5.5 billion and represents the cutting edge of sports architecture. Home to the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, this technological marvel features a massive video board suspended from the roof, an open-air design with a translucent canopy that protects fans while maintaining an outdoor feel, and luxury amenities that set a new standard for stadium experiences. For World Cup 2026, SoFi Stadium will host multiple matches including high-profile group stage encounters. Its location in the heart of the Los Angeles entertainment complex makes it a focal point for celebrity attendance and global media coverage.
Stadium History
Opened in 2020 after years of planning and construction, SoFi Stadium immediately hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022 where the hometown Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals. The stadium complex includes YouTube Theater, a 6,000-seat performance venue, and is surrounded by Hollywood Park, a massive mixed-use development. For soccer, SoFi has hosted high-profile international friendlies and is a candidate to host future World Cup events.
